Megan grew up in Connecticut and moved to Dallas in 2012. She received her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Western Connecticut State University and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work with a specialization in Children and Families from Fordham University. After receiving her bachelors degree, Megan provided treatment in a residential setting where she found her love for working with patients with Borderline Personality Disorder, eating disorders and relationship issues. Upon completion of her masters degree, she went on to becoming a therapist at a residential treatment facility in New York and eventually was running the Borderline Personality Disorder and Eating Disorder programs. After working 11 years in New York, Megan moved to Dallas, Texas where she began working with relationships and families struggling with relationship issues and substance abuse. Megan is trained in the Gottman Method of Relationship Counseling which she utilizes to help individuals learn to enjoy being together again and communicate with each other more effectively. Using a variety of different approaches, Megan is comfortable working with children, teens, adults, relationship issues, and families particularly in areas of PTSD, sexual/emotional trauma, Bipolar Disorder, substance abuse, divorce, grief, eating disorders, anxiety, self-injury, interpersonal skills and emotional regulation. Megan utilizes DBT therapy to help individuals learn how to regulate their own emotions and regain power in their lives.
